Krabi Trip

Finally the day arrived, after 6months of planning... yohoooooo....
There were 11of us: Jeremy, Louise, Keith, Jessie, Pit Voon, Kok Hong, Foong, Alex, Lin , Fen and Evelyn.. This is the biggest group ever from our previous trip...Very happy could make it...

Day 1
We reach at Krabi airport about 2.45pm (Malaysia time zone), Krabi is behind Malaysia by an hour... It takes about 1 hour and 15mins by airplane... After arrive we choose a Van which can fit 11of us, it cost us 800baht to Jetty. To go Yaya Resort Railay Krabi we only told after reach Jetty, that we need to use long tail boat. The tough part is the transportation  to our resort, guess what...?? We take 5 different transportation in a day... Airplane to Krabi airport - Van to Travel office - Van transfer to Diamond Cave resort (jetty is behind only) - Tuktuk car (a bike with 4seat) to Jetty - Long Tail boat to Railay beach - Tractor (this trractor can go on the water up to 3 fifth high) to Yaya Resort... Really lucky the boatman arrange the tractor for us. Otherwise I really can't imagine the emotion of other member, if we need to carry our extra big bag across the beach, sure get scolding one...

About 6pm finally we reach to the Resort and freshening  up a bit and rush for so call very late lunch...

Location (Railay beach) of resort we stay can consider a secluded area, because if we wanted to go out from the island we must use long tail boat or speed boat... We only can go around Railay west and east. In Railay there is more than 15 resort hotel, all different design and price. Yaya resort that we choose is consider reasonable price with wooden decoration @ East side of the island. East Railay beach sand is more rough and just like poor kampung area, all the long tail boat is park east side with tractors going around... But you go to West Railay the view will be totally different is more classy area and white soft sand, even the boat park around also is speed boat... There is another beach around (20minutes walk), i did not get to go there due to lack of time, but my friend say is very beautiful...

Day 2
We plan for an Adventure package which is Elephant tacking, water rafting and ATV riding plus the monkey, temple &cave visiting, this cost us about RM215 per pax (after discount) include transportation transfer and a lunch.

This is really an adventure day for all of us... Firstly we capsized at the water rafting, my friends flipped their ATV ride and ended with a minor accident (our van crush in to a Honda car (Ah Pak) which the Ah Pak doesn’t notice us from straight road then he just simply turn right and stop in the middle of road)... Most of us got blue-black and minor scratch, lucky all of us fine.After the accident, we continue another shocked..We have to boat ride back to our hotel, in a totally dark night with our boat is no light at all.. Phew.. I was praying in the whole journey..

Day 3
Island Hoping ....
Travel Agent normally offer 4 type of package, 4 island, James Bond island, Phi Phi island and Pong Island (got water sport like jet ski).. We choose to go Phi Phi island which highly recommended by the agent say nice view and beach. So early 9.30 in the morning we waiting at West Railay go Phi Phi by speed boat for 45mins, basically is go around the island introduce the island with 2snorkelling session and having lunch in bamboo island... But hor... i mean if u guys got time is better to choose the most island u wanted to visit hire a speed boat or something else, then only u can relax there... Otherwise the agent will actually show u a lot of place by fetching you there then pointing only, that's not my way of vacation...

Day 4
Back to KL, tell u guys what must try on the Thai massage at Krabi airport.. Is really nice with resonable price...

Conclusion:
If u able to plan trip to Krabi, my advice is stay in the town Au Nang. You can shop around at night time, day time hire a long tail boat to island hoping or those jungle tacking or hot spring & crystal pool..But if u really wanted the beach feeling like us, please dont go back hotel later then 5pm or else you definitely be caught by the dark night. For those been to Phuket, if you ever play water rafing& elephant tacking last time, the adventure package we do is actually play at the same area... Cause both Phuket and Krabi people will join in to the same place play the same games, the different is just the adventures level.
